Filter classes ISO 16890 | EN 779

A new testing standard has been in effect since 2018. The ISO 16890 standard now takes Different particle sizes in the test procedure. This leads to an improved result in the statement of the filter effect and is significantly closer to a real to a real filter use over several months.

Filters which you order at ersatzfilter-shop.ch are usually labeled with both filter standards, if this is possible.

Important for you: If your ventilation system was manufactured for filters according to EN779 (before 2018) everything remains the same. You will continue to use the filters with filter classes G1 to F8 according to EN779. Although the filters will have a second or different designation, we guarantee the same or better filter quality.

Please note that if a filter material which according to EN779 for Class F7 according to the new standard, it is not a reason to worry is no reason to worry. The material is identical and according to EN779 is still F7. Decisive is according to which standard your ventilation unit was developed.
